Since January 2021 Dr. Lukas Schmid has been a fellow in Smart Government, working primarily on fiscal policy and institutional topics. After studying economics at the University of St. Gallen he first worked at Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) before spending several years as a research assistant at the Chair of Political Economics at the University of Lucerne. He is also just about to complete his doctorate.
