The @Avenir Jeunesse workshop brings young people from different parties together around the same table. Based on facts and reform ideas, they discuss Switzerland's major challenges with Avenir Suisse’s experts. This opens up new perspectives, fosters mutual understanding, and encourages political engagement.
The best way to understand democracy is to experience it firsthand. That is why we offer workshops for school classes that introduce young people to political decision-making through interactive activities.
At the center is the award-winning game "Democratia – The Isle of Five," which brings Switzerland’s system of direct democracy to life through an interactive experience. Discussions about democracy, responsibility, and social cohesion deepen the experience and promote critical thinking and respectful exchange.
The workshops are aimed in particular at students at secondary level II and last around one class period. They are free of charge and can be incorporated into your lesson planning. Avenir Jeunesse provides 10 tablets.
