Switzerland is the country in Europe with the highest proportion of people who say they are very satisfied with their current life: 36%. By comparison, this share is 22% in the EU. A glimmer of optimism amid the prevailing geo-economic uncertainty.

While today the agricultural sector rightly denounces the excessive bureaucracy, the high level of subsidies is worth mentioning in comparison. The allocation of subsidies and legal requirements often go hand in hand. A reduction in transfers to agriculture would also reduce bureaucracy.
