19th rank: Switzerland has considerable room for improvement in digitizing its healthcare system. In a study by the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity, it ranks only 19th out of 32 countries. The United States and Denmark lead the rankings. The lesson from both countries is clear: interoperability and standards must come first, and only then digital applications.
